Every heart needs somewhere to rest.
Whatever your tradition, take a still minute. Hold the lantern and let it brighten slowly.
Press and hold, or tap once and it will brighten on its own.
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allāh. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allāh hearts are assured.
Whatever your tradition, the heart needs stillness the way the body needs sleep: a few quiet minutes away from the noise, with something larger than the day you just had.
Qandeel means lantern. We made it to keep the Quran close, on your phone and on your wrist, even offline.
Light the lantern
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allāh. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allāh hearts are assured.
Questions to sit with
- What gives you meaning that doesn't depend on how today went?
- When did you last feel truly still?
- What are you grateful for tonight?
A practice for today
One still minute
Before you sleep, put your phone in another room. Sit for one minute and breathe slowly.
Bring to mind three things today gave you. If you pray, let this minute be part of it.
